• De-duplication without compromise
  Post processing de-duplication with SIR-M ensures that backup windows are not impacted as with inline approaches. Additionally, data is de-duplicated across all 672 TBs (6 shelves) of raw capacity to ensure the highest data reduction result. De-duplication can be performed on your schedule, when you want, allowing you the ability to keep a copy or copies of un-duplicated data if desired.
• Game changing replication
  Easily comply with offsite storage requirements. Replicating with SIR-M can mean up to a 95% reduction of bandwidth required to transfer data electronically to remote data centers our disaster recover sites. Now, replication no longer requires either compromising time or security by trucking tapes, or living with unreliable restores due to faulty, lost or mislabeled media. The 300 also seamlessly co-exists with physical tape. Tape caching, export to tape or your backup application’s tape copy function enables data to be moved to physical tape if desired.
• Multiple Personality Flexibility
  The 300 VTL can co-exist with either Single Instance Repository, File Archiver, or native MAID. This flexibility enables customers to deploy multiple solutions within a single cabinet, saving footprint while meeting all business objectives.
• Enterprise-class availability
  Automatic HA failover and SIR-M standby enables critical operations to keep functioning, even in the event of a hardware failure. Backups need not be interrupted, and space saving de-duplication can keep on processing and not miss a beat with these two optional features.
